Who is TEC?

TEC is a family-owned and operated company that provides economic stability to its local service areas by providing voice, internet, security solutions, and employing more than 200 people across Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, and Louisiana. Currently, TEC has invested in and maintains approximately 1,700 miles of fiber in its rural markets. For nearly a century, TEC has been a forerunner in providing telecommunications services to rural America and was the first to bring internet options to many rural markets more than 20 years ago. With the goal of minimizing the broadband access gaps, TEC is providing reliable, affordable internet options and positively impacting the communities in which it serves. These fiber services provide greater access to telemedicine, distance education, telecommuting, and improving these communities' overall quality of life.

Why is service not available for my address?

We are currently looking to expand service to many areas but expansion is based on many factors. How far is your home from a TEC fiber line, have we been given approval through your city/municipality, how dense is the population of your service area, etc. These are questions that must be answered in order to bring fiber to any service area. To increase your chances of receiving fiber, please submit your information and ask your neighbors to do so as well. This will help us determine where it would be most efficient to expand.

When will you be bringing my area Fast Fiber Internet or how can I speed up the process?

Once you have submitted your information, you will receive a confirmation e-mail that we have your address on file. Our next update will be announcing a new project across our social media, and you will receive a call from our sales team to let you know that fiber is coming to your area. Encourage your neighbors and friends to sign up as well, we take the amount of customers in an area into consideration when looking to build our next Fast Fiber Internet project.
